Evie's Story

Evie travelled from Istanbul to the UK in September 2022. She was born an raised in a secure garden in Istanbul where she was looked after by our founder. She wasn't a house cat but having grown up in a safe environment she lacked survival skills. Without our founder's help she would not be able to fend for herself as a stray cat. Hence, her and her siblings made the long journey from Istanbul to the UK in search of her own forever home where we wouldn't worry about her future in the streets.

She was adopted by an amazing couple in North London a few months after her arrival to the UK! She’s very timid so we were worried that it'd take her a long time to get used to her new home, her new parents and her new sister Lava but surprisingly it didn't take her long to come out of her shell! She’s such a special girl and we knew we found her the perfect family as soon as we spoke to them!

We’ll forever be grateful to them for opening their home to her.

Adoption Process

At Help a Stray Cat, we strive to provide a safe and caring home for cats in need. We take the adoption process seriously and ensure that each of our cats find a home that is warm and loving. To make sure that happens, we have an online adoption form and a home check for potential adopters.

All our cats are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and potential adopters are required to pay a £200 adoption fee. We believe that with the right home, every cat deserves a life of love, safety and happiness.

For any enquiries you may have regarding our adoption process, please email us at the address below.
