Henry's Story

Henry was one of the first cats we started to take care of in the area where we volunteer. He’s such a special and smart cat. The whole neighbourhood knew him as he would into everyone’s gardens looking for food and we’d often find him sitting in front of the fish restaurant down the road. But he’d always come back to our volunteer's building and sleep in the car park most nights. Unfortunately, stray cats are villified in most parts of town so we’ve gotten into many arguments with the other residents over the cats and Henry was one of the cats they threatened to dump somewhere if we didn’t stop feeding them.

They actually did put another one of our cats in a box and were about to dump him somewhere before we intervened. We weren’t going to let them do this to Henry so we took him under our care. Please consider opening your home to this gorgeous boy. He’s so affectionate and he just loves to be around humans. He’ll be ready to travel to the UK beginning of June!

Adoption Process

At Help a Stray Cat, we strive to provide a safe and caring home for cats in need. We take the adoption process seriously and ensure that each of our cats find a home that is warm and loving. To make sure that happens, we have an online adoption form and a home check for potential adopters.

All our cats are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and potential adopters are required to pay a £200 adoption fee. We believe that with the right home, every cat deserves a life of love, safety and happiness.

For any enquiries you may have regarding our adoption process, please email us at the address below.
